which fork is Right... which is Left?

    Ok...
I bet this is a rookie mistake.
but over the course of a couple of years.... while polishing and rebuilding the front forks.. I have lost my markings for right and left

    the bike is a 1971 R75/5
I'm aware that I need to get them on the correct sides to get the fender bracket, etc... to line up. Just starting reassembly now.. and my memory from disassembly didn't hold the information for the years in between.

but don't recall how to tell which is right and which is left.

I believe that the side of the front axle attachment will give me the answer.

as far as the two lower fork bodies go... one has a emblem casting that is proud... the other much less proud... if that helps.
although I think the axle attachment may be the solution

    can someone direct me?

    thank you in advance
    brant

Maybe these will help...these are pictures of the same bike. Looks like the left one has the emblem molded into the slider.
