2021 R1250RT Footpegs

Has anyone changed the footpegs on their 21 1250RT? I am not necessarily interested in lowering them, but I would like to swap them out with something other than the rubber topped OEM sticks.

Changed Footpegs on 2018 MY

I changed them out on my 2018 R 1200 RT, which is close enough to the bike you're asking about to give an informed input. I changed my foot pegs out for Iliumworks sport boards. (see https://www.iliumworks.com/BMW_Motorcycle_Accessories.cfm?pn=30-300&pID=107). They fit both the 1200 and 1250 RT. I love them. They lower your feet by 1 3/4" and the comfort of full foot support over a peg is great. They also fold up when I put my feet down so there's no pegs hitting the sides of your legs. They're a bit pricey, but I'm glad I put them on.

I went with the Knight Design lowered foot pegs on my 2016 RT (which is the same in this respect to the 2021). They helped a lot on 400+ mile days.

If you do end up with lowered pegs, you're going to want to adjust both the brake pedal and gear lever.

I agree with Alegerlotz, you need to adjust both the brake pedal and gear lever. The gear lever is easy no extra parts just a simple adjustment. The brake pedal requires more then an ajustment, I went with https://www.iliumworks.com/BMW_Motorcycle_Accessories.cfm?pn=30-600&pID=121 it's pricey but worth it, even if I didn't have the pegs lowered I'd find this to be a great upgrade. For the foot pegs I have the Suburban Machinery https://www.suburban-machinery.com/R1200RTW.html , great quality and fine folks to work with (it's a mom pop operation)
