'98 K1200 RS Crackling exhaust

1998 K1200 RS….recent 30 K service. getting ready for Cedar City…..short ride today…. At shut down I never heard such cracklings from stock exhaust….should I try to get it to shop in the one day I have….or blast 400 miles hoping it was an isolated occurrence

If you are talking about the ticking noise as the exhaust starts to cool, I wouldn't worry about it. Pretty normal if the bike when a hot bike is shut off.

Crackling exhaust….aahhhaaaa

Just backyard stupid on my part…..bike had been in a carport during a AZ monsoon….water must have blown in….big weather…and when it was hot it boiled off….and I was there to hear it….guessing. Flogged it hard today with no issues or repeat. Off to Cedar City Wednesday AM
