Where are the F900 XR threads??

Hi everyone,

Took delivery of my 2020 F900 XR and loving - can someone point me to where all the treads/forums are for the F900 bikes??

Thanks!

There is no specific forum for the F900. It falls into the F-Twin category and has seemed to work out with the few posts that have covered that model. Have a look through F-Twins and see if there is something that interests you.
In the F-Twin forum "sticky" area, there is a bit of an index on F-Twin models.
Good luck with your new ride.

Thanks for letting me know - I quickly zoomed through the posts, didn't see much at all - maybe the bike is too new? This is such a great resource over the years for all my different BMW bikes, surprising that there isn't much on the F900 yet - lots on the GS750, 800s, 850s, etc. But the XR/R is really in its own category imo.

The bike is fantastic - been a long time since I rode a parallel twin, but this engine is unique in its attributes and feel from others I've ridden. It's a wonderfully crafted and balanced bike - I'm loving it.

F900XR Worldwide Forum and Owners Club

In the absence of threads related to the F900 XR/R models on the MOA forums, I found a great resource for those who might be interested in discussing and sharing on the specifics of this F900 XR/R - it is the F900XR Worldwide Forum and Owners Club (https://www.f900xr.com/index.php?action=forum). I've met some great fellow owners/riders, some great buy and sell experiences, good technical discussions and general discussions, etc. and it's free.

Great!
If you find something interesting, maybe you can bring it on over?

I wonder how many in that group are BMW MOA members? :ear

I wonder if the MOA has a team of volunteer influencers that are *going over there* getting out the word about our club?

There is only a few of us here that don’t give chain-drive a second thought :brow

Not to steal away people, but we're all over at www.f900xr.com

The f-twin forum here doesn't get enough traffic to warrant checking it very often. 850gs.com for those, parallel universe at advrider.com and f800riders.org for all other f-twins. Much more traffic and interaction in those groups.

This group has useful info, just not that much volume.

Then their are is who have S, ST,GT and R models too! :wave Belts and chains drive.

C'mon over with those bikes! I don't have one, nor access so I haven't been able to do any maintenance posts, but I'd love to! (Or inspire other to!)

A short review F900 XR after break in

Thanks for chiming in everyone - most definitely an initial adjustment going back to a parallel twin and chain drive (yuk), but have since adapted and enjoying the benefits of this modern and very nimble bike. Now broken in, the F900XR is really showing its potential as a very capable and agile bike. The engine feels unique and versatile, a different feel to other BMW twins I have driven. The "adv" style ergonomics make for a great riding position, lower to the ground off the mark than a GS, great for us shorter riders. It is a light weight contender with good touring capability - of course, a GS and RT will give you more of everything. However the XR is really easy to ride, handles beautifully in twisties and makes commuting through traffic a breeze. Unique and very fun to drive. Feel free to reach out if interested in this bike, love the MOA.
