R1150RT info needed desparately

New member
I'm the new owner of a 2005 R1150RT police version. I need a copy of an owner's handbook or a copy of one. I'm having some problems and am unfamiliar with the basic controls. My last bike was a BMW K75 30 yrs. ago

For starters:

1) Motor dies if I put it in first gear.
2) Motor was started and warmed up, then after dying wouldn't start.
3) Apparently there's an ignition key position that locks the forks ?

Help! ttwotees@att.net

Thanks

As above re KS

Lock:
Turn bars all the way to the left - rock slightly to allow the key to engage the 2 lock positions
Turn key CCW 1 stop from the end to lock
Turn key all the way to the end to lock and have parking lights front and rear on (will drain the battery if left on too long)
This is for nighttime safety on the side of the road.
