310GS lowering link removal?

Attempting to remove a San Jose BMW lowering link. Can get the three bolts out, but can’t get the link free from the swing arm. It appears that the spacer extends beyond the swing arm, partially into the link. Anyone have success in removing this spacer? It’s bound in there. Thanks
