R1200RS 2018 12k service

I just picked up this fantastic machine and I'm putting tools together to do a 12k service. Do I really need a cam timing tool and are there any other BMW specific tools that will be required?

Check valves; adjustment likely not needed

You can check your valves yourself easily enough. Just get the correct feeler gages and bend them to fit. I've got 50K miles now ( on 2017 version) and have never noticed any valve clearance anomalies that required adjustment.

I'll be glad to help you thru this.
Feel free to PM me.

The OP won't get a much better offer than this. I'd still suggest wearing an old dark coloured shirt. Most can't get away with wearing light coloured clothing whilst working on motorbikes. :)
