Lowered foot pegs for 88 k75s

33 years ago when I bought the k 75s the erg’s worked well, now I am needing to lower the pegs
Any thoughts?

Suburban Machinery, located near Cleveland, Ohio, makes foot peg lowering kits for many BMW bikes. Alas, the K75S is not shown. You might be able to visit the shop and measurements could be taken and the K75S could be added to the bikes for which lowered foot pegs are available. I would suggest calling Suburban Machinery.

Another alternative is Knight Designs who have lowered foot pegs for a number of bikes, but this does not include the K75S. I tried some lowered foot pegs intended for the R1100RS on the K75S. One would need to make a small modification, e.g. add a stop (small screw or bolt), to keep the foot peg from rotating too far forward. I find that my knees are tight for the first 20 or 30 minutes of riding with the stock foot pegs, but afterwards loosen up. Thus, I haven't been motivated to investigate the modification further.

Illium Works makes lowered floor boards and foot pegs for more modern BMW bikes, but does not show the K75S as a model for which items are available -

While it would be possible to lower the pegs, it would create many other problems that would need to be solved (mostly ground clearance).

The simplest way to get a straighter knee without the ground clearance issues is to raise the seat height. This may not work for you (depends on the length of your legs and how flat footed you want to be at stops), but it won’t compromise the bike’s performance in corners.

Thanks for the reply’s, I have Suburban Machinery lowering kits on our 1250RT and 1600 GT. The improvement it made on those is why I want to lower it on the K75. I did not see the kit available on Suburbans site: the seat has been modified to get you up about an inch.
Thanks
