MOA #153, The Yankee Beemers took a little ride down to West Virginia for the Cass Rally.

We are so glad that the pandemic is over and rally season is now in full swing. It took a little bit to get the pics together and a ride report, but here it is.
We had a good group, lots of Cass virgins, and we missed some regulars.. Scott Clark? Cy Ubinger? Sam Booth? It just wasnt the same without ya...

We had a great week on the road heading to the Cass Rally. Todd, Billy, Riley, John Scholes, Karl and I left from New Hampshire on Wednesday afternoon and hot dogged it to Upstate New York.

We bumped into Karl and John at the pumps on route 90 and then we tried our best to keep up with them for a few hours...

Those boys really know how to dodge traffic...

Eventually we caught up with them enjoyed and evening of 2 for one drinks at a proper happy hour.

Thursday morning we got on the road and traced the Delaware river and crossed down into PA on back roads. We spent the whole day on little squiggly roads until we arrived at Pat Mullens camp in West Virginia.

Pat being the gracious host and good friend he is said "sure you can come with all you buddies , I'll even make dinner".. Not to let an offer like that go, we showed up hungry.

As usual, Billy was first on scene......

Pat upped the ante with a bottle of "Tail of the Dragon" Tequila and it was all down hill from there. We were at the fire until early Friday morning.

John Scholes did his best to herd 7 cats thru the twisties using Adventurous routing and we had a great back road ride down to Pocahontas county on the little roads. Bluegrass Valley road was one of my favorties. We arrived in style just in time for the rain. Ken Struble met us on his KTM. The Mountaineer BMW Club hosted a great evening rally.

As it turned out we all had hotel rooms and we piled into the rooms next to the Guzzi-Guys. Our reputation preceded us and we had a great time partying with them.

Across the street the Bear Claw restaurant was running a steak and rib special, and we spent all weekend having breakfast and dinner there. Great beer selection, and they even loaned us a jump starter.
The rally chairs donated some extra mugs to the restaurant and we had great time hanging out there with the staff...

We rolled in style and had a blast riding around West Virginia.

Ash and Bre joined us Friday night, we loaned Ash a bike and rode up Snowshoe in the fall at zero dark 30.. it was foggy...

Billy hosted a lovely evening in New York at the Boxer Lounge ...

Bill led a fabulous back road ride home. We saw a bear on 209, and we got tailed by Mimi in Salisbury CT.

We ended the adventure with BBQ at BT's smokehouse in Sturbridge.

2500 or so sMiles in 6 days, its great living off the bike...

Thank you to Rich, Mike and all the folks that made the rally happen!
