    I just purchased a 1983 BMW R100S. Is there somewhere I can order a Certificate of Authenticity?

    Welcome to the forum! Normally owners of more vintage vehicles write to the BMW Classic Archives to get a build date and where it might have been shipped. After the /2 models, there are a number of websites that lets you look at your VIN relative to the bikes built each year. Here's one place:

    Beyond that, if you want to pay some money for something to put behind glass, BMW offers a certificate. Find the download form on this page:
