Saw a post recently about the newest in GS 911's but lost place of it. I want to purchase so I can monitor my 2020RT . suggestions?

Spend about 60% less and get the Motoscan Professional or Ultimate program that turns on any Android device, couple it with the correct Bluetooth equipped OBD2 scanner and you can do 99% of what the 911 can do with no limit of bikes you can connect to.

And it can do a thing or two that a GS911 cannot do.

I've been using a GS911 for over ten years; I am on my third device. It is a good tool, but compared to the MotoScan it comes up a bit short. First is the cost; it is much more expensive than a MotoScan set-up. It allows only ten different bikes to be used unless you pay even more for an upgrade to an unlimited version. And, there is at least one task that I cannot do with my GS911 that a friend can do with his MotoScan. I have a 2013 F700GS that came without the onboard computer. The OBC is really just several software options that can be activated with a MotoScan but not with my GS911. When my GS911 dies I will switch to the MotoScan.

Bob's BMW also sells the GS-911. I picked mine up from them on a Black Friday special for 20% off. It's a great tool.

    Kevin,

Does the Moto Scan only work with Android devices?

I'm Kevin's "Friend", LOL, I'll answer for him - Yes, Android only.

    "Professional diagnosis for BMW motorcycles
We proudly present our new development - the MotoScan app for Android smartphones, with which all current BMW motorcycles can be fully diagnosed. An inexpensive solution for all hobbyists and professional screwdrivers, which we developed based on many requests from BMW bikers. Needed UniCarScan UCSI 2000, OBDLink or ELM327 diagnostic adapter, 10/16 Pol. OBD adapter cable and the diagnostic software.
The APP is available in the Google Play Store"

Since Motoscan only works with Android, iPhone people can just pick up a used Android phone and dedicate it to Motoscan. Set it up on your wireless network, download and install the app from Google Play store, and go to town. No need to activate it with its own phone number and data plan.
