Problem ABS and ASC lights

I have a 2014 R1200GS. The front wheel had been improperly balanced so after suffering through a thousand miles or so I removed the wheel tire assembly and had it rebalanced properly. When I reassembled it I find the the ASC light flashes and the ABS light stays on constantly. This does not go away even after a bit of riding.

What did I do wrong?

Thanks in advance -

Bryan

Apologies for asking, but is the wheel installed correct way around, so the ABS ring on the hub is on the same side as the pickup sensor?

Best,
DeVern

Yes - Wheel is correctly installed.

The ABS Chopper faces the sensor. What is the correct gap between the ring and the sensor?

The gap on the ABS sensor rarely changes, but it is possible to incorrectly seat the sensor when reinstalling it after a wheel R&R, as I did once on one of my bikes. I would suggest removing the retaining bolt for the sensor and reseating/reinstalling the sensor, followed by checking the sensor wires for a pinch or break. If no issues are found there, it’s time to connect a GS-911 and see what codes are present.

Best,
DeVern

Thanks

So the speedometer reads correctly, but the gap between the sensor and the chopper wheel seems too large.
Am I looking at this correctly?

Pictures would help, but... The speedo senor and ABS system are separate, so they are unrelated in this instance. I would go back to DaVern's post regarding verifying the sensor is installed correctly and that wires did not get pinched. Then get the bike scanned for codes.

Is it possible that the wheel spacer is on the wrong side ? The spacing is very close so if there is any space al all that is the problem, just need to find out why ?

Hey Bryan, I'm battling the same thing - how did you ever fix this problem?
