Father in law, found this on the ground after I moved my 2013 R1200RT. He guessed it was roughly under the engine, mid bike, and it was covered in either oil or grease. I can’t find anywhere that it might have come from. It’s a smooth cylinder, with a slot for a a ring at the end...prob about 1 to 1 1/4 inches long. Does anyone recognize this?

Pivot hardware on adjustable windshield. Should be easy to verify. The “c” clip on the grove side must have come off and it worked its way out.

It looks exactly like one of the pivots for the windshield but From what I can see externally, none are missing. What else might have a similar pivot? Does the adjustment for the headlight have something similar?
