97 K1100LT wheel swap?

I've been running an older airhead and am looking at a 97 1100LT.

There's a lot I like about the K1100 with the exception of the 3-spoke wheels. I've seen a thread or two of putting K1100 wheels on a K100, but not the other way around. Is there a different wheel that will fit the K1100 without modification?

There's nothing objectionable about the 3-spoke '97 K1100LT wheel. Easier to clear, actually. Such a nice bike. I figure I upgraded from an '85 R80RT to '97 K11LT, but I also have a K12LT so maintenance is closer to the same for me. Not sure how the wheel change can't be reciprical, if one way.

Have fun,
Jer

I’ve got a ‘84 R100RT, but as I said, there’s a lot to like about the K11LT. Just like the snowflake wheel or something similar, but you make a good point about being easy to clean. I’m looking at a ‘97 LT as well. Not going to let the wheel thing keep me from picking up the bike!
