Welcome to the forum, Jim! Nice looking ride in a great venue! I believe the bike has been designated a Hexhead and there's another forum for Hexhead discussions. I will move this post over there in a little bit, so just hang on!

That is an epic ride... fond memories. And on a great bike as well, I have the same and in the same N88 livery (interesting blue accents). While a big fan of the 1150RT shape the styling of the hexhead / camhead RT left me a little cold. Then I spotted a pic of the Light Magnesium Metallic / Magnesium Beige Metallic scheme and was instantly impressed.... some graphic artist at BMW knew what they were doing. It seems to get a lot of attention in parking lots as well.

I recently had a K16GT basically land in my lap and have been spending a lot of time on it. Love the engine on that thing. Switching back to the RT on occasion makes it feel like a sport bike in comparison and makes me appreciate it all the more. It's a keeper... enjoy.
