Lowering Shocks for K1600 GTL???

I am looking to lower my K1600 GTL. Is there any advise out there for a company to order the lowering shocks through or is it okay to ride with the wife and gear in the single occupant electronic setting.
I found myself in a predicament where a car pulled in front of us and when I grabbed the front brake, the bike went over with me and the wife. I could not keep the weight of us up with the handlebars turned and only being able to use my tip toes to hold the bike up. I would like to be more flat footed.

Just an FYI, A heavy bike, front brakes with the handle bars turned and you are pretty much guaranteed to down whether your feet are planted or not.

It shouldn't harm anything to ride two up in the single rider setting. The suspension will sit lower and you might bottom out. Depending on you and your wife's weight. My wife is tiny and I ride my RT on the single rider with luggage setting.

Changing the geometry of the bike by lowering it is risky; work with Ted Porter if you must, but try changing your seat out first. If the difference is about an inch, you will achieve better results with a seat change. That said, the aftermarket shocks are much better; I put Tractive on my GA after about 28K miles.

I had the exact same problem with the wife on board. However I had already lowered the bike with a rear lowering link and a lower adjuster on the seat. I could flat foot it but it didn't help. Once you stop suddenly with the wheel turned on a GTL, she's going over and Superman couldn't keep her vertical. As I said, with the rear lowering link and the eccentric seat mount I can flat foot it and never noticed any change in, or problems with, the handling as some suggest will happen when you change the suspension geometry.
