    Fork seal question

At the risk of asking a really dumb question, here goes...

I just bought a pair of fork seals for my 2000 R1100 RS. Euro Moto Electrics part # Fseal988.

One inner side has a slightly beveled edge, as opposed to the other, which is not beveled.

So, is the beveled side, the top, or bottom of the seal?

Not sure if this helps but every seal I've ever seen has the spring side towards the oil.

    GS,
Yes, there is some very small letters or numbers on just one side. Even blowing them up on phone pics, canít read. The letters/numbers are only on the non bevel side.

The OE ones (which I prefer to use) have lettering on them.
Just finished doing a set last week.

    Cannot comment on aftermarket seals.
Contact EME and confirm which direction.
