Hi all, first time BMW owner. I bought a 2019 R 1250 RT last September. The moto fill in the need for a commuter/tour and so my wife can have a more cushy ride. I spend 3 months looking at used K 1600 GT and R 1200 RT/RT-P, but the 0% APR seal the deal.

The RT is my second moto. My first moto is a 2014 KTM 1190 Adventure (89k mi), and it was extremely difficult deciding between the R1200GS and KTM 1190. Both are amazing and powerful machines at that time, I decided a more dirt bike orientated moto would be more durable since I was a first time rider. Also, KTM released their Cornering ABS which did save my life 3 times already. If BMW had released their version of the Cornering ABS, I would have likely went with GS maybe even a GSA.
