R100RT Head light dimensions

Does anyone know the headlight ring or reflector diameter on a '79 R100RT?? I'm looking to replace the OEM bulb and reflector with an LED seal beam unit. Can't just replace the bulb because of the lack of clearance for the fan on the back of a H4 LED with the circuit board mounted in the nacelle.

Thanks

I dont know how much heat will be generated but keep in kind how the RT head light is surrounded by the rubber boot and outer glass cover. Years ago I used a higher output bulb and it eventually melted the harness bulb/plug.

Thank you, khittner1 and PAS!! 8" it is. A 7" should fit. :)

PAS, an LED should not run as hot as anything else. It's just the physical clearance with the board behind it that is the concern. Was yours an LED??
