I recently acquired a new R 1200 RT (upgraded from a vStrom 650) and will now continue my travels with my wife.

I live in Hawaii and keep a bike on the mainland. Over the last 6 summers I have logged 37,000 miles on the vStrom, traveling from eastern Tennessee to the west coast, Dust to Dawson in 2013 and the Dempster Highway to Inuvik, Alaska and the Dalton Highway to Prudhoe Bay, back across the southern part of the US to Key West and back north to eastern Tennessee.

My dirt, gravel, camping and adventure touring days are over and I look forward to "credit card" camping with my wife.

Will be using the forum to learn more about my bike and how to outfit it for touring.

Hope to be able to hook up with some of you on my travels.

Aloha,
DC
