Solar Chargers for Electronics

Any thoughts, recs, or experience with portable solar chargers for cell phones, iPods, etc?

I saw this very cool Solio Portable Charger and was thinking I could put something like that under the map window on my tank bag to keep iPods, phones recharged while riding and it would be handy for rally camping when there's not an outlet nearby.

I use the Freeloader. Stores compactly, has many different cable connectors, and acts like an auxiliary battery when not used as a charger. It also fits nicely in a map case when its opened.

I picked up a bunch of solar spotlights at Ace Hardware a few weeks back and was wondering if I could take that little 2" by 4" panel and somehow mount it to my bike cover with velcro and somehow wire it into the bike's accessory plug for a cheap float charger. Could be fun and I have always wanted to learn basic electronics
