Extreme Cold Weather Oil

Sorry, I asked this a month ago and now the post is gone. Going to finally change out the next couple of days. I'll be riding in weather down to 10F. Can't remember if it was 14W40 or 5W50 (or maybe neither of those!). Bike is a 94 R1100RS. Also going to change tranny and rear while I'm at it. Any recommendations for that oil.

Sure, any full synthetic oil.

Last time I read the specs, the cold pour point for 0W, 5W, and 10W Mobil 1 oils was minus 55 F.

15W-50 was I think minus 45 F.

Pour points for synthetics are uniformly very low, agreed. I've been looking for the lowest 40C viscosity which ranges from 40 to 180 in the 5W to 20W range,

Thanks Roger. Went with the 4T oil as recommended and went ahead and did the tranny and final with the Mobil 75W90. Took a quick ride as the snow started to fall and I swear the transmission shifted better.
