Handy Lift + non-skid

I just brought home a Handy Lift. Looking forward to using it when my next valve adjustment or other service comes around.

The deck is simply plain, painted steel - no diamond plate or non-skid or anything. Seems like a coat of bed liner might help avoids slips, no? Anyone tried this? Any reason not to?

I find the smooth deck very useful. Such as when changing the rear tire. Before putting the bike on the centerstand I spray a little bit of WD-40 on the deck where the centerstand will be. Then I can slide the bike on the centerstand forward to clamp the front tire in the vise. I also pull the rear tire over toward the edge so that I do not need to remove the exhaust or rear fender to drop the rear wheel.
