Anyone going to Iron Butt Rally finish - Spokane?

I'm heading out Thursday ~9 PM to Spokane to see the IB Rally participants come across the finish line. :lurk Anyone else going?

I wanted to... Unfortunately I have to work for a living. Argh. :brow

Ditto on the camera.

Cough, cough that's what sick leave is for - :doh

I will be taking picts but the rally will most likely be over (7-9 AM). I can't imagine many picts would turn out at 3 - 4 AM and it's probably the last thing those riders need when they pull in, dog tired, to have flash bulbs going off in their faces.

We'll see what I can come up with on picts ;)

I... cough cough... used it already...
Then again, if you're using flash bulbs then I'd imagine riding along w/ you,
while you are in your Model T, may take awhile from Everett to Spokane. :laugh

I actually bolt on an aircraft landing light for night riding and let me tell you, I can't out ride it even cranking along in triple digits in the rain (which happened earlier this season down near Yosemite). Yeah it's a Model T bulb compared to the new HIGH Dollar/ HI Tech lights but it works just as good IMO for 1/10th the price. ;)

Mind posting a source for those lights?

Actually I was alluding to your use of the term flashbulbs. :laugh
Although I do like the idea of "burning the hair off a deer" 100 yards out.

Paul and I are here.

He'll be scoring riders. I'll be hugging!

I ordered the light from this place

The housing I got from Harbor freight, you can get them anywhere for cheap ~$10 or so .

and it looks like this on the bike.

Since I have some small PIAA's on the bike installed with relays I made the wires of the landing light have the same end so I could just unplug the small PIAA and plug in the landing light. It already has a relay and switch so it was an easy job!:thumb
