Hi Guys,
Can anybody here tell me where on the 1999 R1100 RT-P the Auxiliary Fan Relay (K9140) is located. I was able to get the schematic for the system from the bmwmc.net web site ...... but can find no diagram as to where the relay or temperature sensor is located. I was able to find the Aux Fan... and its connector ... but lost the wires down in the bundle.
The problem I am having is that when I turn the key to the on position, the Aux fan turns on immediately without starting the bike or getting anything hot. I suspect that the relay is stuck or something has grounded the control side of the relay... but I cannot troubleshoot that which I cannot find.
Any assistance from somebody who knows would be very helpful.
This fan only appears on the police version of the R1100 RT... so the manuals and things I do have do not show this.
