There is no direct translation for the word Gem??tlichkeit. However, Gem??tlichkeit is the warm, comfortable feeling one receives from pleasant surroundings and atmosphere. I think you will find that when you come here.

There is another design that Sue is considering. I saw that one and it WAY COOL but after a while this refrigerator art version is kind of cool also, in an icebox sort of way.

Sports: BMW MOA Fantasy Football Update ÔÇô video if you took it.
Interview with the BenevolentDestroyers head coach:

Q: What do you have to say about your loss to arch rival Bradford Benn?

A: Well M1ka this is a rebuilding season for us. ItÔÇÖs a long hard season and unfortunately we are going to suffer losses in this process.

Q: Let me follow up on that coach. This is the first MOA fantasy season. How can it be a rebuilding season for you?

A: My point exactly. We didnÔÇÖt even have a team last year which makes it even harder to rebuild one.

Q: What was your strategy going into this past game?

A: After extensive meetings with the coaching staff, scouts, getting input from the players and the guys down at the Lilydale gas station (Were with a buck you can still get a small cup of coffee and change, but hurry, gas prices may be down but coffee prices my be going up.) I decided to adopt the league leading DummyTeam strategy and not make any roster changes.

Q: Why coach? You had two players on a bye week!

A: Okay Mr. Pushy follow-up question guy, I forgot to make any changes. It was a virtual game and I was on the road.

Q: WhatÔÇÖs the plan for next weekÔÇÖs game coach?

A: Today is an off day, just like most of them including our game days. I plan on spending a little time in the garage. Going to calm my frazzled fantasy football nerves with a little Zen and the Art of BWM Motorcycle maintenance.

Q: What are you going to do to the famous Roadster?

A: Well M1ka I am going to rebuild the Bing carburetors. I find it relaxing. Tomorrow I start planning for the next game.

Q: But coach you live in a condo and they wonÔÇÖt let you work on the Roadster in the garage. Does it even have carbs? ItÔÇÖs an R1150R isnÔÇÖt it?

A: I work on it down at the Moosehead Bar & Grill in Diamond Jims Mall here in Lilydale, okay. I have the bartenders screen my calls and tell people Im working on the Roadster. They used to tell them I was lacing the cast wheels but someone from another team blew my cover on that oneWere not on the record now are we?

Recalls:

You were just on the bestbikewebforum.com where someone posted that they have a friend that has a cousin that is dating the girlfriend of the girlfriend of the mechanic at the local small engine repair shop and he talked with his and there is a recall of the model BMW you are thinking of buying.

Many of us have been confronted with this type of situation at different times. How do you verify the information? How do you track down and prove or disprove a rumor? For the North American MOA rider there are two places.

US: National Highway Transportation and Safety Administration

CA: Transport Canada

These are the recall databases for the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Canadian Transport Canada. Each uses a simple drill down method to check for recalls related to a model.

Save them to your favorites so that you can find and give the real information on our forum and others.

Wonderings:

Shhh donÔÇÖt tell anyone. I liberated a copy of the Washington County Yellow pages when I was in West Bend. I am going to start a Yellow Page Project | Rally 2007 Edition.

Restaurants and gas stations are easy to find. When I arrive in a new town one of the struggles is finding where things are such as laundromats, pharmacies, parts stores, grocery store or what have you. The idea is to pick a few key areas from the phone book and list the information. A listing would look something like this.

Group Heading
Individual Listing
Phone Number
Street address
GPS coordinates for the listing.

I donÔÇÖt intend to recreate the entire phone book. I have my ideas, what are yours? What are the key things that you need when you blow into town and have trouble finding? Print it before you leave and you may have some useful information when you get to the rally.

IVAN LAZZARINI IS SILVER MEDAL IN THE SUPERMOTO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2006

1650.jpg

The 2006 Supermoto World Championship closed the games on the Athens track, in Greece. Factory Husqvarna team?óÔé¼Ôäós rider ivan Lazzarini got the second final place in the S1 class.
Ivan preceeded in the classification teammate and World Champion 2005 Gerald Delepine thanks to his results gained in this GP. Lazzarini got the 5th and 3rd position in the two heats, conquering the third place on the podium as well. It wasn?óÔé¼Ôäót a good week end for Gerald Delepine: the Belgian rider, who gives his best on offraod tracks, was disadvantaged since no dirt part was built in the track.
Delepine, during race 1, slide and closed the race on 7th place, while in race 2 was 5th behind the new World Champion 2006 Bernd Hiemer. In S2 class, Adrien Chareyre succeeded in conquering the third position in the overall classification even thought he was not the main protagonist of the GP.
The French rider got the 9th and 6th place, results that anyway made the youngster conquer the third step of the podium.
The Chareyre brothers, Adrien and Thomas, will be riding for the Husqvarna Factory team in 2007.

Supermoto World Championship ?óÔé¼ÔÇ£ final classification:

Classe S1: 1. Hiemer (KTM) p. 349, 2. Lazzarini (Husqvarna) p. 297, 3. Delepine (Husqvarna) p. 289
Classe S2:1. Van Den Bosch (KTM) p. 340, 2. Giraudo (Aprilia) 278, 3. A. Chareyre (Husqvarna ) p. 259.

ANDERS ERIKSSON GETS SECOND PLACE IN GOTTLAND GRAND NATIONAL
1652.jpg

Anders Eriksson conquered the second place in the Swedish Enduro Marathon that every year features 500 riders at the start.

The Gottland Grand National is a 3 hours and a half race with a minus 0 degrees temperature o a snowy and icy track. Only 3 out of the 500 riders did finish the race: Matt Nilsson, winner, who was ahead of Eriksson with only 3 minutes, while Anders preceded the third placed rider, Gundersen, with 10 minutes gap.

Eriksson will take part to the Novermberkasaan, another Enduro marathon that will take place in Sweden in the middle of November.

BMW ORACLE RACING CONCLUDES 2006 VALENCIA SAILING SEASON

New Zealand summer training session ahead.
Valencia, Spain. BMW ORACLE Racing concluded its 2006 Valencia sailing programme last Friday. Now the Challenger of Record prepares for a European winter/New Zealand summer training session starting later this month in Auckland.

The final day of sailing in Valencia draws to a close the 2006 season that began in February. The team sailed more than 150 days this year in Valencia including days spent performance testing, crew training, in-house racing as well as competing in the three 2006 Louis Vuitton Acts. In this critical lead-up year to the 2007 Louis Vuitton Cup, the team dedicated much of the on-the-water time to developing its new race boat USA 87 and developing from that innovative platform the design for the second new boat.

"We set out an ambitious programme at the start of the year and achieved our goals," said CEO and skipper Chris Dickson. "The final proof will come next year but we are pleased with where we are with less than six months until the start of the Louis Vuitton Cup. With more than 150 sailing days and well over 500 hours of performance testing and racing logged on our first new-generation race boat, we accomplished even more than we set out to do in 2006. Each and every person within the team gave their best effort this year and I am proud of what we have achieved together in all areas of the programme."

In addition to the testing and training time, the team competed in 37 races during Louis Vuitton Acts 10-12 in Valencia, including their victory at Act 10, the match racing season opener. The team competed in close to another 100 match races at various regattas with wins posted at the Trofeo Challenge, Portugal Match Cup, Trieste Challenge and Spanish Open as well as at the German Sailing Grand Prix raced in America's Cup Class yachts.

While sailing in Valencia is over until early next year, work continues at the team's base on the Port America's Cup. Once the boats complete their final sailing session today, the shore team's work begins as the team starts preparations for moving sailing team operations to New Zealand for the European winter session.

The New Zealand session kicks-off with two BMW ORACLE Racing teams lining up at the New Zealand Match Racing Championships Nov 22-26. The sailing team will then start their crew training at the end of this month with USA 71, which is already in New Zealand after being shipped their from Germany following the German Sailing Grand Prix. The team will take a Christmas holiday break before returning to the Hauraki Gulf training programme.

Meanwhile construction of the team's second 2007-generation America's Cup yacht continues in Anacortes, WA, in the Seattle region of the northwest US.

BMW ORACLE Racing is the Challenger of Record for the 32nd America's Cup representing Golden Gate Yacht Club in San Francisco. Team owner is American Larry Ellison, founder and CEO of Oracle. Partner of the team is German premium car manufacturer BMW. Sponsors include Allianz, leading global financial services provider; Girard-Perregaux, Swiss manufacturer of high-class mechanical timepieces; Henri Lloyd, Technology Partner and supplier of team clothing and Network Appliance, Inc. (NetApp), a world leader in unified storage solutions.
