I ordered the part online ( non OEM) and when I got it, found it was too wide. I think my year was after the change, so could anyone guide me with a new part number? Drayco or Conti?
Thanks.
I replaced the HES this past week on my 2010 R1100RS. I've had the bike a couple years and decided to put a new belt on as well since I wasn't sure when it had last been replaced (currently 68,000 miles). Read the Clymer and watched video to properly adjust the tension on the belt and got to it...
So who has replaced the newer elast alt. belt without using the tool that BMW techs use? There is much info archived here but not much in the way of a successful replacement. My bike has 40k on it and the belt really looks good, no cracks or anything. Wondering if I should let it go for a bit.
