Thank You!

This song from The Mama's & The Papa's came on the radio in the Jeep today.
It reminded me of how I miss real stereo.........digital homogenization seems only better on the storage level.

College kids singing opera

Rehearsal the last two days with them and the Okanagan Symphony - I'm the principal clarinet player. Those young men and women just blow me away! ALL of them have good voices, sing in tune, have good stage presence, and will please our audiences. (Concert is operatic overtures, arias, duos, trios, etc. - not a real opera.) Two or three of them sound like top-notch pros NOW!

...With John Hiatt...

Good Choice...

Beach Boys - Pet Sounds (AF 24K Gold Remaster) in glorious MONO!!!

This album was written as a one-up to what the Beatles were doing with the multi-track studio...
The Beatles would hear it and do thier own one-up with a little album called Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Pet Sounds is not just another album about cars and bikini girls, you can really hear how they were honing their skills as song writers.

Good selection...
I was back in college around the time KICK was released. Working at the college radio station gave me plenty of time to broadcast the gospel of INXS and Mr. Hutchens. Tragic ending for such a talented man.

...tragic ending...txedomoon

When I heard the news, I thought: "what a terrible terrible waste..." It was the same with Jim Morrison's death.

Artists, expecially writers, pay a terrible price for their talent.
