Old Adobe House in Malpica Mexico

The house next to it is still standing is 375 years old. Don't know if this one is older or just not taken care of.

I use this photo for my avatar. I took several photos of this old mail box that was located at an old farm site where there is no longer a house or outbuildings such as a barn. The rusty ol' box was of great interest to me. Though it was no longer collecting the mail it still looked as if it could, rust and all.

James,

I hold a kind of a strange fascination with certain varieties of old mail boxes.

Although this one is not yet abandoned, I thought it interesting.

I spied it last summer while riding through Lamoni, Iowa.

I guess one could call it a "mail engine."

Directly across the street is this:

I have seen that mail box! I have traveled to Lamoni and seen the mail box you've posted. Very unique. By the way, very nice RS!

Old house in Ottawa valley

out riding last summer in the Ottawa valley. I wonder if it is still standing? Maybe I should use that as an excuse to go for a ride next summer. :ca

Once run down, but now refurbished and taken care of (It's past of a state park). Thousands drive by it everyday, but most people never notice it.

An old outbuilding on my grandfather's place in central Kentucky, circa 1980. This is a scan of a print I made in high school photography class.

Here's an old no-longer used church in the African-American neighborhood of Nacogdoches. My service club on campus have been repairing it, as well as the old parsonage. Over 100 years, designed by Dietrich Rolfs. Same architect that designed half of Nacogdoches.
