Post a pic of your Airhead

That cut down RT fairing looks a lot like the old Rifle fairing of the early '80's.

Funny you should mention that.. .. I was thinking the same thing. Guess you'd have to know Chas Perethian to know for sure.

Port Arthur, Tx. I'm out n' about the gulf coast at the moment.

Go a little further south to the Sabine Pass Battleground. Civil War site. See the statue of Lt. Dick Dowling. Battle was a rare Confederate victory in the Civil War in the western theater.

I couldn't help myself. This Monza Blue R60 sat for years in a nice dry warehouse amongst Jaguars, MG 's, Studebakers and every other old car that you can think of. This guy was an obsessive collector. I could see right through the layer of dust that this one was low mileage and had been in good care.

You would have been daft to pass that one up. Like when I found my 75 this summer...Just went by on a whim to 'take a look'...And it followed me home.

Here is my 78 R100RS. Bought it from the original owner in early 86. Ed Zack was his name, unfortunately not with us anymore. The bike has been bulletproof for the most part. I put on fresh paint, (original scheme) last winter and finally broke down and had the heads done as well. Just rode from Cheney, (Spokane) to Redmond, then to Crater Lake, then to Portland, rode up to Mt St Helens and back to PDX, then home last weekend via the East side of St Helens, across the desert then home. (Thanks Destination Highways). Met some great people, saw some awesome bikes, joined the club, put 1500 troublefree miles on the bike, and ready to go again, (when time permits). :dance

Beautiful !

Newest member of the herd. I will be using it as a tug for a sidecar rig.

What make is that fairing?

I believe the fairing is a early Parabellum based on the front vent and the rubber attachment knobs, but there is nothing stamped on the rairing to confirm this.

Small Resto Project

A good Airhead riding friend has his 60/5 engine in my shed being rebuilt, It had traveled over 1,000,000 kilometers and spun a big end bearing.

His 'Other' bike is a R80 Mono, which was bought as a ride when the /5 issue arrived. Not as good at the /5, it was his daily ride. He is a Pastor of a church and works in a disadvantaged area. Some adolescent kids decided to steal his bike, and a week later one of the kids mums told him "to get rid of the bike, Burnt it, I dont care just get rid of it"

Below is the result, so over Christmas I will be having some fun :)

I know it probably isnt worth fixing, but I like a challenge :whistle
