I was recruited by Greg Hutchinson to be a rider at the San Jose 1/2 Marathon. I carried a Fox Sports Network cameraman on the back of my bike as we followed the lead runners in a very quick race.

"This was my favorite YouTube Video, ever. Two Thumbs up!"
--Ebert and Roper

"My favorite part was the very nice Canadian man in the Nolan"
--Mr. J. Tessler

Not a bad little camera. Good audio, too.

How was it with the camera-man? Hard to keep everything nice and smooth at low-speed with a guy hanging off the back?

It wasn't too bad. The camera hit me in the back of the head a few times. I was told I did an excellent job.
I should have used my K75C. Would have been a bit smoother at slow speeds.

It sounds like it could be a lot of fun, but also a lot of work at the same time. I would have been so self-consciousby the end I would have been exhausted from concentration.

Thanks for posting the video.

They paid us $250. I spent the whole time keeping the runners about 5 feet off the back side of my bike. Looking ahead and keeping them in my mirrors.

Sounds like a blast! Too bad I'm on the East Coast... :huh
