Here's a picture from last fall's GripTwister ride around the Olympic Peninsula:

Here's a scene from the Seattle F650.com phototag:

I have the tubular HT rear rack, and it works well for use as a lifting handle.

    Here's a picture of it:

The angle pieces are what I grab onto.

    Have travel, will ride

Fresh from the shed, my modified 02 GS
I fitted Yamaha MX forks up front and a Hyperpro shock in the rear. A plush ride through the knarly stuff.
Took some weight off the front and rear ends

That is pretty cool. It looks like you still have some kind of rear luggage hangars on the bike?

When I was in Germany recently, seems like there was a lot more people doing modifications/customizing of their BMW's. I am not talking about farkles, I mean like the mods you did.

    Here's mine

Here's the 2001 I bought a few weeks ago. It came with Happy Vally panniers, they're not on in this picture. I'm playing around with windshields trying to get a quieter ride. Looking forward to it drying up so that I can try her out.

That windscreen you have is about as good as it gets. It just needs a pair of braces at the lower edge to prevent buffeting. Also, it does not have a sharp edge to hit you in the face when you run into something immovable.

Where did you get the braces from? I'd be interested in seeing a better picture, and knowing where to get them.

    Cheers,

    Bill
