Ability to store files on the forum?

Boingo

Comfortably road numb
I would like to put forth a suggestion that we be able to store files on the forum. I am thinking TXT,GXF (GPS eXchange Format) and ZIP files, but other formats may be useful.

I have a list of inde BMW shops that I (and I think some others) would find useful to keep and maintain here.

Good suggestion. Given how many BMW dealers have closed this past year, that could be good info to have.

On the upside the right files could be very useful and add richer conten, on the downside would space (storage) concers, potential problems with infected files, and content concerns (copyright, inappropriate, etc.). Work is going on now to design some very nice enhancements to the web site proper, some of which includes "resources" like what you're suggesting. This idea needs to be mixed in with that effort to see what/how/when/where it would fit best.

Great, I can wait to see what the future holds for this forum.

Maybe we could have a place to store links to helpful information rather than a file repository.

Gaylord McCurdy has a great site for BMW dealer locations:

http://gmccurdy1.home.att.net/Dealers/Dealers.html

Another one is at Mr Gizmo:

Thanks. Some system of good links for "document" or website-based resources will be a nice addition, once we get to it.
