George Rahn Has Passed

SURVIVOR
George Rahn died early today. Some on this thread met George on their rides to Alaska. George was the BMW dealer in Fairbanks for nearly 50 years; a one man operation the entire time. He was cantankerous and generous; curmudgeonly yet always ready to help; a great friend and motorcyclist.

We lost another legend. Met George in 02 for a tire replacement on my GS. He did it all by hand. It was a learning experience to watch him I think he saved every quart of oil as there were drums all over the property many hiding in the weeds. He will never be replaced. God speed George

We met George in 1988 when we stopped at his shop.
A local rider warned us George was a little odd, but we found him to be very friendly.
