For those times when you really, REALLY need to make it to the south 40 quickly.
Nicest piece of farm transport I've ever seen. (Though my brother's '38 John Deere tractor is pretty sweet!)
It isn't an oil head but it is an oil head style boxer (6 cyl.)
It is loads of fun for a cruiser (ie, peg/chrome part dragger)
Parked outside the hotel in after a bath. I've been told that it's a rare color.
I'm a new member and wanted to show off my '01 R1100R. Picked it up in Birmingham, AL four weeks ago and rode it back to Chicago over the weekend. I previously rode an '83 Kawasaki KZ650H; the BMW has a better ride and slightly more torque.
The ride from Birmingham to Paducah, KY was great. Going through the back roads of Northern AL and Central TN is a treat and finishing up at northern entrance of the Land Between the Lakes National Park would make for a great weekend ride. I never knew that the Feds had both Elk and Bison herds there.
Just north west of Tryon, NC about 2/3rds the way up White Oak MT. Looking SE. Running with a GSXR1000, Hayabusa and a 955i. 09/04/08
Nuthin like frost on the windshield to make ya appreciate a nice hot breakfast . 2100 miles two-up, 8 days, 50 mpg, 35 to 85 degrees, great scoot for the occasion, wanna go again, we missed some stuff. Now I gotta go finish the airhead revival for the fall colors here.

I great day of riding in AR. This is at Wiederkhers winery in Altus. It was wonderful around 70 degrees and the wine tasting was also fun. Had lunch afterwards, all in all a perfect day with my wife (Sandy) poking me in the ribs whenever the speedo went to high, or the pegs rubbed to hard.
