We'll see how many rallies the S-bike makes this year. With all the Four Corners of the Pacific Northwest Tour stuff I'll have with me, I might have to ride the GS-for the humongous panniers if nothing else!

What's the vintage of the furnace? Iron, right?

Yes. Iron furnace. Just north of Devils Marbleyard. Rockbridge county. Sigh said it operated from 1853 until 1865. Still reeks of charcoal and smoke. Stones are huge. Just really amazing. Love old stuff like that. So robust.
