I had a great Sunday ride with a couple of buddies to the races (WERA) at Grattan. No pics, no spectacular roads (M-50 most of the way, but very nice from Lowell to the track), no incidents, but some interesting statistics:
The youngest guy was on the oldest bike: Dave McWilliams on a 1974 R-90S;
the oldest guy (me) was on the newest bike, a 1979 R-80/7. That's the first time I've EVER had the newest bike on a group ride.
We had sequential engine displacements: 800, 900 and 1000.
We also had an inverse size of rider to displacement ratio: Smallest rider, Kevin Limberg, on the biggest motor, a 1977 R-100rs, largest (me again) on the smallest.
Anyway, we had a great day, put in plenty of saddletime, saw some great racing on a beautiful track, and there was a lot of good humor at the stops.
I know this is not much of a ride report, but I couldn't resist the opportunity to make a couple of cheap puns in the title line!
