Picking up a fallen bike - Alternative

Honestly, why are these bikes on the ground? The road is clear and pretty flat........

The Go Pro distortion is deceiving. This is a service road that goes straight up a ski slope so it is pretty steep and a bit slippery because it is wet. These guys look like they don't have a lot of off pavement experience. It was a funny sight to come upon. The photo is not mine, someone else posted it, probably on ADV.

Considering that they are riding bikes that would probably out-perform legendary off-road bikes like the Sherpa T or a Mick Andrews Replica, their situation is pretty comical. But, in the laughing at you vs. laughing with you kind of a way........

I'm thinking that the lead bike went down and the following riders were too close, target fixated and grabbed the front brakes to join their fellow riders in the horizontal plane. I saw three Harley's do the same thing in a really easy curve one evening. First guy ran off the road into a field, and the two others followed in a nice row to end up on top of each other. No injuries except to bikes and pride.

Or the bikes were tired from the hill climb and simply needed a short rest stop. :clap
