I traveled for 14 months on moto through North and Central America recently. When stopped at a gas station, park, coffee shop, or even on the side of the road, I was blown away by how many other motorcyclists started a chat and ended our conversation by offering us their guest room. We found ourselves staying with complete strangers, but who shared our passion. They were some of the best experiences of our journey! Its the motorcycle culture-- we extend a helping hand and are genuinely are interested in each other!
So the brain cells went into overdrive when I returned and the result is a website called MotoStays. http://motostays.com/
The best way to describe it is like Airbnb or Couch Surfing, only SPECIFICALLY for motorcyclists. I would invite you to check it out and see if it is up your alley.
It's new, but growing! We launched it a in early June and have already a presence in US, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Switzerland, India, Turkey and Panama.
If you have time to take a peek and like what you see, please share with your other moto friends!
