Tall Seat option on 2014 RT

Tall seat arrived and - it is great

Just installed the tall seat yesterday on the RTW and it fits well and my legs don't feel as cramped as they were.

have to take a long ride and let you folks know how it works.

Stock seat a thumbs down

I posted in another area regarding the RT seat.

Aftermarket is NEEDED for the RT. Seat is too soft and slopes you into the tank after a few hours.
Does BMW actually employ people to put hours on these before they are released?

The peg/seat relationship is a bit cramped for me as well. 6'2" and after many hours in the (stock) saddle my knees are really jammed.

Working toward a fix on this otherwise fine bike.

Lower pegs made a huge difference for me. 6'6"

Lynn,

Any issues with the gear shift or brake lever after lowering the pegs? Was the brake lever adjusted down?

I am looking into a new GS, and the possibility of lowering the pegs on it. I am 6'4" with a 36" inseam and a new GS may fit me better than my old RT.

thanks,

Harry

No issues. I did not change the levers. I found that my size 14 boots actually enjoyed the additional space.
