Hi Don, I heard about the Land of Oz rally last year in Salem, from a couple of long time fans who have been repeat Oz rally goers, so I'm planning on riding up from St. Louie. Thanks for listing this "heads up" as I had almost forgotten about the rally since seeing the guys at the Falling Leaf Rally here in Potosi..... I hope to meet you there and give a two thumbs up to the folks who volunteer to make all the rallies offered around the country available for us to enjoy.....

More Rally for your Rally $ at the Magical "Land of Oz" Rally May 30 - June 1

That's right, you get more Rally for your Rally $ at this year's Magical "Land of Oz" Rally!
Make the "Land of Oz" your rally destination this year the weekend after Memorial Day weekend (May 30 - June 1). We're beating up the budget to give rally goers the most value at a lower cost - it's our 35th year so it's $35 for 35! Check out our new rally page at http://kcbmwmc.com/rally2014.htm for more updated information and preregistration!

Don, just two questions. How many years has the oz rally been held? & How much is the entry fee to the Oz rally? Thx in advance. Barry

There's no need to empty your wallet this year

The Kansas City BMW Motorcycle Club understands that you only have so much money to spend on rallies each year - we are riders too! We have made every effort possible to keep ours as affordable as possible, but there won't be any cutting of the things you enjoy most - camping is included, RV hook-ups at no additional charge, even better food for our 3 included meals, the best Air Roasted Coffee from The Roasterie is free 24 hours a day, the field events / bike show / seminars will be even better than ever, Saturday night entertainment provided by one of the hottest bands from the KC casinos, trophies for outstanding riders will be even better than ever, and the list goes on and on! Since it is our 35th Year for the Magical "Land of Oz" Rally we are holding the line at $35 for the whole weekend - better yet, register in advance before May 21st and save an additional $5. So save your wallet and firm up your plans for May 30 - June 1. The "Land of Oz" Rally is the affordable vacation! The Great Door Prizes just keep rolling in! Just heard from our friends at Suburban Machinery, Inc. (I know I've been using their products for years). We are also proud to count among our friends these supporters of our Rally and Club. Just to name a few, our thanks go out to: Baldwin Saddles, Engle Motors, BMW RAMS, Bentonville BMW, Stop & Go International, Rolling Wheels, Rene Cormier at Renedian Adventures Ltd, Brian Scott, Gateway Riders "Falling Leaf" Rally, BMW MC if Nashville, ""European Riders Rally", Springfield Road Riders Motomo Rally, and the list keeps growing!!!

Added to that, we are finalizing our, INCLUDED IN THE RALLY ADMISSION FEE, Saturday Dinner (along with Friday night Dinner and Sunday Morning Breakfast) with the "Mapleton Cafe" from Mapleton, KS. Great food - I believe the ROMEOs (Retired Old Motorcyclists Eating Out http://romeoriders.com/wp/) have been there at least 2 or 3 times, so that should say a lot. Now that the weather's sorting itself out, ride down and check 'em out, I know we enjoyed 'em!

And the Value Keeps Getting Better!

Not sure you'll "fit in" if you have to drag a 'door-slammer' to the Oz Rally? Don't worry about it: most all of the camp sites have electricity, there is NO EXTRA CHARGE for RV's (you can bring your "toy hauler"), and we'll be spraying for ticks and other insects before the rally starts. Campfires will be allowed in park provided "rings" and don't forget all the "included in the price" meals and free gourmet Air Roasted Coffee provided 24 hours a day through the generosity of The Roasterie! Now that's true Midwestern Hospitality!

I ate at the Mapleton Cafe twice this past week and was at an event where they catered two meals. Their food was fantastic. The pulled pork was as good as it gets as were the potatoes and beans.

The only problem is there are a lot of great bargain rally's out there with many flavors ,just enjoy them all!!

Sure won't argue with that. Make sure to "pick" the ones that best suit your "style" and pocketbook :)

Since it's our 35th Rally on the same weekend, we're trying to repay all our friends from over the years and new friends we hope to make with the best value rally we can. So go through the listings and head for wherever whimsy, sprit, desires, and pocketbook takes you! We just hope it's to the Magical "Land of Oz" ( But who wouldn't support their local Chartered Club's Rally - let's see, Wisc., you've got a tough choice there :) )
Don

35th Annual Magical "Land of Oz" Rally Thanks

I'd like to personally thank all those who helped make this year's Magical "Land of Oz" Rally such an enjoyable success just by being there with us this weekend and supporting us throughout the rally! Also, BMW MOA President Chuck Manley, Executive Director Robert Aldridge, and Treasurer Tom Buttars for once again demonstrating BMW MOA's support to its Chartered Clubs and their events.
