I've driven to Rocky Point a few times but never on my bike. But I do recall the need for special insurance. Where can I find out info about it? Are other getting this insurance?

If someone doesn't have it.

Having insurance ahead is best but if someone doesn't get insurance you can stop here in Ajo on your way through and pay for just the few days you plan to be in MX. I've used many vendors and all are good but recommend Holt's Shell station on the corner as they are quick and efficient. Takes perhaps 10 minutes. My collision and comprehensive is good there so no need to buy that.

+1, Gunny; Muchas Gracias, rhudson! Mas Caminos y mas Amigos, Suerte y Recuerdos!

My girlfriend and I might join you to ride from the starting point unto Gila Bend if it's not a problem. We live in Ahwatukee about 5 to 10 minutes from the Love's but don't have time to join you for the whole trip.
