Tank bag replacement

Roy.Jackson55@aol.com

You stupid, fix it!
I really like my Big Mac tank bag, but it is getting a little long in the tooth. I have been using one my 04 RT Since 06. What kind of tank bags are my fellow 1150-RT brothers using now?

Not an 1150RT rider but I really like the fit, form and function of the BMW OEM tank bag on my 1100RT. The same bag may even fit both bikes but not sure about that.

Two minor issues with this durable and well designed product are the map window is small for standard road N.A. road maps (AAA etc.) but it is easily reversible which helps. Just flip it over to bottom clear side is quick and easy. I go through BCAA maps pretty quick but the are free with membership so no big deal.

The other issue is when turning the bars all the way to the left actuates the windscreen adjust switch. Up or down she goes. This is a minor nuisance which only happens when parking or moving the bike in very tight quarters. I think most tank bags would do the same thing in tight quarters.

I have an almost new Cortec tri bag I would part with, a little big for a F800GS.

Thanks for the replies. I found someone selling a used Big Mac Bag in like new condition. Think I will stick with this for awhile. Still the best set up I've seen out there. I can't believe no one else uses this system.

Maybe because when you google big mac tank bag no one seems to sell them any more? Shame though, it looks like a pretty cool idea with the flip up for fuel design and a good size as well. How long ago did you get yours and where?

I'm guessing back in 2006 before they went out of business. Fuel ups are so easy with this system.

I really like my Marsee with the Corona mount. Keeps the bag off the paint and is easy to gas up.
Could be a bit bigger, but I probably carry enough junk the way it is!
