wire harness interchangeability from 1985 R80RT to R80 naked

Hello all,

I have a question I have an 85 R80 naked, it came with a caf? fairing so I went ahead and added the correct gauges, I just received a harness for those said gauges that was from a 91 R100. Where on my harness would this plug in? or will I have to alter it for it to work?

Do you have the original manual? The wiring chart for mine has the R80 on one side and RT on the other. You could do a comparison and see where the gages plug in.

Somewhere on this site (I think the "resources and links" location) has links to the various wiring diagrams. Worth checking into.
