/5 32mm Bing Carb Stained from Simple Green?

Hey all,

So I have a carburetor body that I am working on rebuilding (replacing all parts o rings/etc with new).

So I disassembled the carburetor and soaked it in a 5:1 simple green solution.

Due to the simple green not being deep enough, it now looks like I have a water line.

Any idea how in the world to clean this off without using something abrasive? Is it corrosion? Kind of strange that it only happened right at the top "water line" of the simple green.

Would this be considered "varnish"? If so would B-12 chem tool remove it?
