Gee, I never really thought of it. I guess you have to put your bikes away before October. Do you ever get to ride much in October? When does the riding season start in Fairbanks?

For Fairbanks, riding generally starts in April or early May. Since I have a third wheel, I will stud the tires and continue to ride. So "Last" is relative. Even on two wheels, you can generally ride as long as there isn't any ice on the road...

Typically, there have been multiple "Last Rides" well into October.

Most "last rides" I can remember is five. Latest I can recall that the roads were not iced was 24 October. It was raining and the water looked real thick on the ride to Nenana.
