I rode to Salem from Wisconsin by way of Helena, MT and Walla Walla, WA, then on old US 30 from The Dalles to Portland as Ken Hall suggested in Owners News. Great rides! My return trip went via the Oregon Coast and Redwood Highways to Shasta-Trinity National Forest - where temps were 112 degrees F - to Redding, CA. I cooled down through Lassen National Forest. Rode to Reno, then to Hailey, ID, then to Helena MT, then to Medora ND, then home to WI on Sunday 7/28. All told, 5,800 miles.

My reports are on line HERE
