Looking For A Guy Who - - -

- - - rebuilt an oilhead 'GS a few years back...

...A friend here in WI bought said 'GS from a seller also in WI - the bike's on
a 'salvage title'. Seller never registered it here, and friend is encountering
roadblocks trying to license it...

...The guy who rebuilt it from totaled is named Ron Trost, last known to be
in the Milburn, NJ area. My friend would just like to get a couple things
about the provenance of the bike so he can register it...

...Anybody know Ron?

I don't know him, but the internet can easily be useful. Anywho.com yielded this on my first try:

Salvage titles can be tough. You need a list of what you need in order to comply. Do you have that list?

Friend says he does...
...He has found some contact #s online, but none he found panned out...

I expect that getting it registered isn't the big deal...getting it insured is.
I presume he's on to this - He's had a bunch of bikes. I've had a couple of
s.t. bikes, and my long-time insurer hasn't had any issues with basic coverage in my case, FWIW...

THANK YOU for the feedback, gentlemen!
