help... 2012 R1200RT with some *($#%@ wax that got off the painted surface and "landed" on the flat black plastic. This happened a while back; thought it would go away but even with repeated washings still there.

Any suggestions, (other than finish the job by covering all the black plastic with wax!!!)?

I have had success with warming it gently with a hair dryer. That often makes it become clear again.

try some turtle wax "Ice" liquid synthetic polish. Works great on paint, rubber, plastic and I've had good luck with it removing that annoying white stuff other waxes leave on plastic and rubber.
