76 R90/6 Combination Switch Repair?

Ron from BC

New member
My loose indicator ramp switch in the combo housing has a short and it started to send up a bit of smoke when activated. Anyone have any joy removing the white plastic cover on the inside of the combination switch, where this smoke is coming from, or is it just a case of ordering a new one from Hucky's for $180?

Thanks..

If you want to tear it apart, just consider that it is a 37 year old switch that does have a finite life. If it's already been "smoke checked" then you may have some wiring issues down line from the switch. IMHO. you'd be better off buying a new switch that'll probably last another 37 years, and ride in confidence.
